《祖靈與山》為《山若有神》系列的第二部分。影像的採集透過長時間參與泰雅族耆老的生活，跟隨著他們上山狩獵、採集，從路徑中讀取這個群體的信仰觀，進而理解這群與山最近的人如何在現代化後的社會與山林互動，並且透過他們的語言，訴說靈魂是如何棲居於自然界的萬物之中，並在生活中體現由祖靈所約束的社會活動以及生死觀。

“Ancestral Spirits and Mountain” is the second part of the series “If mountain has deities”. Through participating in the Atayal elders’ lives and following them into the mountains for hunting and gathering. The video attempts to grasp how the locals, who are closest to the mountains, interact with the mountains in a modernized society. It tells how the spirits inhabit all things in nature and how the concept of ancestral spirits and life and death are realized in their lives.
